December 14, 1992 is the day of the adoption of the state flag of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The flag of our state is a symbol of the sovereignty of our country, glorifying it in the domestic and international arena. The national flag of the Republic of Karakalpakstan has a rectangular shape and consists of three horizontal blue, orange and green stripes. Our national flag is 250 cm long and 120 cm wide. The blue and green stripes are the same size and 42 cm. The width of the orange strip located in the center of the flag is 34 cm. The width of the white borders is 1.0 cm, the red ones are 2 5 cm.

Here, the blue color is an eternal symbol of the youth of spring and the news of life – water, the orange color – a symbol that most of our country consists of deserts, green – a symbol of the renewal of nature, spiritual rejuvenation, faith and the sun. The crescent on the flag is a sacred symbol of Muslims, and five stars are considered a symbol of five ancient cities of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

The national flag of the Republic of Karakalpakstan is constantly hoisted in the buildings of the Jokargi Kenges (Supreme Council) of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Committee on Constitutional Oversight of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, republican state administrative organizations, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, local state organizations, courts and prosecutors. When the state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan is hoisted with the State flag of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the State flag of the Republic of Karakalpakstan (if you look at the front of the building) should be hoisted on the right side.

Citizens of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as all other people living in Karakalpakstan, must respect the state flag of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, which is one of the main symbols of the sovereignty of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
