DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL AND COLLOID CHEMISTRY

The Department of Physical and Colloidal Chemistry of Karakalpak State University began its activities in 1990 and was headed by Kali Saparniyazov, PhD in chemistry. In 1993-1996 the department was headed by the PhD in chemistry, associate professor Muratbay Ismailov. In 2001, the department was reorganized and it was headed by the PhD in chemistry, associate professor Jumamuratova Mapruza Sharibaevna. In 2008-2011years the head of the department was Rustem Tlegenov, Doctor of Chemistry, and in 2012-2017 Amanbay Pirniyazov, PhD in chemistry. Within 2017-2019, the department is headed by the PhD in chemistry, associate professor Bakhtiyar Nurimbetov. Since 2019 to the present day, the department is headed by Associate Professor Ayshagul Ibraimovna Sharipova. During its history, the department has graduated several dozen bachelors and masters of chemistry. Currently, they work in many institutions and scientific centers of the Uzbekistan Republic.

At the present time, the department has concluded several agreements with research institutes and higher educational establishments in the republic and abroad. Among them are the laboratory of Colloid Chemistry of the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbekistan Republic and the Karakalpak Scientific Research Institute of Natural Sciences, the National University of Uzbekistan, “NUKUS POLYMER” LLC. And also there is a cooperation agreement with the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev, the Chuiko Institute of Surface Chemistry of NAS of Ukraine and sgned cooperation agreements with the Karazin Kharkiv National University.

From the 2019-2020 academic year, the Department of Physical and Colloidal Chemistry participates in the educational process of professors and teachers who teach offline and online at universities and research institutes in foreign countries.

The scientific direction of the department is the study of the properties of natural dispersed systems using water-soluble polymers, the purification of natural waste, drinking and industrial waters using local raw materials, as well as the production of building materials, the preparation of drilling fluids based on bentonites.  A number of scientific achieviements have been reached in the aforementioned areas, and the research results have been published in national and foreign scientific journals.

Professors and teachers of the department participate in various international republican scientific conferences with presentations of the results of their scientific work. In December 2020, the head of the department Sharipova A.I. continue to participate in the international conference “CASCADE 2020 conference on sustainable agricultural development in Central Asia and the Caucasus” December 10-11, Tashkent-2020

           In 2017 – 2018, under the leadership of the head of the department B. Nurimbetov, a grant was received for the implementation of applied scientific research on “Development of the composition and technology for obtaining heat-insulating materials based on modified vermiculite».

2021 took part in the competition of practical and innovative projects aimed at providing scientific solutions to existing problems in the regions of the republic in accordance with the requirements of the state order for research and development and won a practical project on the topic “Development of technology for obtaining sorbents based on local raw materials (coal, bentonite) for the treatment of industrial wastewater and drinking water in the territory of Karakalpakstan.

Now the department employs 7 PhD and 6 assistants.

Sharipova Aуshagul Ibraimovna, PhD in chemistry, associate professor. She was born on 9th of May, 1965 in the Chimbay region of the Karakalpakstan Republic. In 1987 she graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology of Nukus State University. Specialty: chemist, teacher. In 2001 she defended her PhD thesis on “Polyelectrolytes based on a copolymer of maleic acid and acrylamide, their structure-forming and stabilizing effect on soil dispersions of Karakalpakstan.” More than 60 scientific articles have been published on the topic, including 1- monograph, 2 teaching guides and 4 learning and teaching guides. There is 1 copyright certificate for a patent. Since 2006 she is an assistant professor of the department. Since 2019, she heads the department
Nurimbetov Bakhtiyar Chimbergenovich, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor. He was born on October 13, 1975 in the city of Nukus. He graduated from Karakalpak State University. Specialty: chemist, teacher. In 2004, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic: “Obtaining and regulating the processes of hydration structure formation in lime-belite binders based on marls of the Republic of Karakalpakstan”. He was the head of scientific grants: 2004-2006 FM-3-118. ” Physico-chemical bases of regulation of the processes of hydration structure formation in lime-belite binders (on the example of marls of the Republic of Karakalpakstan)”, 2010-2011. EF-3.14 “Regulation of the processes of hydration structure formation in the CaSO4 – micro – filler-H2O system”, 2017-2018 “Development of the composition and technology for obtaining thermal insulation materials based on modified vermiculite”. More than 60 scientific articles have been published, including 1 scientific monograph, 1 textbook and 3 educational and methodological works. Currently, he is conducting scientific work in the regulation of the production and properties of binders based on the raw materials of Karakalpakstan. In 2019, he completed a scientific internship in the Republic of Belarus.
Jumamuratova Mapruza Sharibayevna, PhD in chemistry, associate professor. She was born on 8th of October, 1960 in the Muynak area. Graduated from Nukus State University. Specialty: chemist, teacher. In 2000 she defended her Ph.D. thesis on the topic “Influence of carboxylamine-containing polyelectrolytes on their colloidal-chemical properties.” She is the author over 40 scientific articles. Among them 5 learning and teaching guides, 2 patents. Since 2000 – associate professor of the department.
Uzakbergenova Zamira Dosnazarovna,  PhD in chemistry, associate professor. She was born on 13th of July, 1967 in Nukus city. Graduated from Nukus State University. Specialty: chemist, teacher. In 1995 she defended her PhD thesis on the topic “Synthesis and research of coordination compounds of cobalt (III) with 2-hydroxyminocarboxylic acids”. She is the author of over 60 scientific articles, 1 textbook, 6 learning and teaching guides. Since 2019 – associate professor of the department.
Pirniyazov Amanbai Zholdasbaevich, PhD in chemistry, associate professor. He was born on 7th of March, 1978 in Nukus city. Graduated from Karakalpak State University. Specialty: master of chemistry. In 2005 he defended his PhD thesis on “Polyphenols of some tannidiferous plants and their biological activity.” More than 33 scientific articles were published on the topic of the dissertation, including 2 teaching guides and 2 patents. Since 2017 he is an associate professor of the department
Jumanova Ziyada Keunimzhayevna, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor. She was born on October 14, 1974 in the Chimbay district. Graduated from Karakalpak State University. Specialty: chemist, teacher. In 2012, she defended her PhD thesis on the topic: “The structure and properties of lignins of cereal plants-rice, corn, sorghum”. She has published more than 45 scientific articles. Of these, 1 textbook, 1 scientific monograph and 6 textbooks have been published. Since 2013, Associate Professor of the Department
Oksana Muratbayevna Seitnazarova, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). She was born on December 18, 1986 in the city of Nukus. In 2014, she graduated from the Berdakh Karakalpak State University. Specialty by education: chemistry (in the fields of science).

In 2021, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Modification of bentonite film and investigation of the process of dye adsorption in organobentonite” (PhD). In 2020-2023, she participated in the scientific grant F3 2019081633 “Local synthesis of chitin and chitosan Apis Millifera from inanimate bees and the production of biodegradable polymer films based on them”. She has published more than 30 scientific articles, including 1 methodological manual. Currently, he is working in the scientific direction of wastewater treatment of the textile industry of Karakalpakstan.
